Membership and Donations

Donations are vital to the well-being of the animals in our care.

We are a small "stand-alone" animal care centre that relies on donations and adoptions in order to keep operating.
We do not receive funding from the provincial or federal government.
We keep the animals as long as we can, but there are only so many kennels.

Donations are used to provide veterinary services, food, toys, beds, blankets, cleaning supplies and operational costs.
See our
Wish List to get an idea of things we need.
Last year we had many donations in lieu of exchanging Christmas and birthday gifts.
There was a major increase in the youth donating in 2008 in lieu of birthday presents.
Many of our elementary schools are raising money for the shelter.
How exciting that the youth are recognizing the need of the animals in our care.

NEW!

Online Donations now available.

Donate now with CanadaHelps.org

If you are unable to adopt but would like to help, any financial donation would be appreciated more than you can imagine!
Any donation over $10.00 will be issued a tax receipt.

You can donate in many forms:

-- Sponsor a kennel for $100/month
-- Sponsor an animal for $25/month
-- Donate your time
-- Sponsor ads in the newspaper
-- Planned giving

The opportunities are unlimited. Contact Debbie at 763-4419 if you are interested in donating.

The monthly donation, combined with others, gives the organization a steady income
to continue our work in caring for all the pets in our care.

We need your help to build our new animal care facility that will be a safe and healthy environment for those in our care.
If you have some great ideas for fundraising for the then new facility, please contact Brenda Barry Byrne at
763-7080.

A big THANK YOU to all the businesses and private contributors
who have generously donated supplies, advertising and monetary donations.
Due to these generous donations, the Animal Care Centre can continue
to care for the unwanted and homeless pets that come into our care.

The Prince Albert SPCA Animal Care Centre does not euthanize dogs, unless they are very aggressive or seriously ill.
We believe that a home can be found for each one of them.
This has been made possible by our dedicated volunteers and staff, loving foster families and what we like to call boot camp.
Trailrunners Dog Training and Northstar K9 Camp have been very helpful in our venture.
