Roses Stewart Stevens, on behalf of Victoria Square Compounding Pharmacy, presents a $20,000 cheque to the SPCA's New Leash on Life Building Campaign. The Humane Heroes level donor (centre) is flanked by Dorothy Sanderson (left) and Val Wilson (right), both of whom are also employees at the pharmacy. Dorothy and Val volunteer at the SPCA Building Campaign office at the South Hill Mall. All three are animal lovers who appreciate everything the SPCA does, so wanted to support the campaign to address the atrocious conditions for animals and staff at the shelter.
Media Releases

Jim Stiglitz and SPCA staff member Amy Wilkinson hold up Stiglitz's $10,000 donation to the SPCA's New Leash on Life Building Campaign. Stiglitz said this is something the community really needs, since "the state the current facility is in is unacceptable for both SPCA staff and the animals." He added that a new facility is long overdue. As a former mayor, he feels guilty that a new shelter wasn't built sooner, so is now encouraging others to contribute as much as they can.

Judy and Cliff Hlewka wanted the pets in the SPCA's care to be better looked after while they're in the organization's shelter - a difficult task in the current facility. So they recently contributed $10,000 to the New Leash on Life Building Campaign. SPCA staff member Isabelle Drolet accepts the cheque from Judy.

Contributor to the SPCA's New Leash on Life Building Campaign, Brent MacDonald poses with SPCA employee Deseree Hatch and a cheque for $10,000. Brent had previously adopted pets from the SPCA, but gained a new perspective when his kids asked him why the animals at the shelter have to live with the current conditions there. It was then he realized how great the need was for a new facility. Brent is so committed to this worthy cause he redid the signs on Crown Cleaners' vehicles to include the SPCA Building Campaign message.

Derryl Hudye recently made a donation to the SPCA's New Leash on Life Building Campaign on behalf of Rally Motors. SPCA staff member Glen Edworthy is shown with Derryl and a cheque for $10,000. Derryl said he simply wanted to support a very worthwhile cause.

The SPCA's New Leash on Life Building Building Campaign was pleased to receive an $18,000 donation recently. On behalf of Pan Imaging X-Ray and Ultrasound, Holly Wells presents a cheque to SPCA staff member Peggy Roy. Holly is a lifelong animal lover, one who believes that the good work done by the Prince Albert SPCA for both the community and the animals it cares for should be recognized. Donations to the  building campaign are a welcome form of recognition.

Senior SPCA staff member Mary Breland holds a cheque for $10,000 with Anil and Tiffany Pandila. These contributors to the SPCA's New Leash on Life Building Campaign have also adopted pets from the Prince Albert SPCA. They encourage others to give to the campaign, and can't stress enough how badly a new facility is needed for the animals cared for by the SPCA.

The MacAuley family presents a $25,000 cheque to the SPCA's New Leash on Life Building Campaign. SPCA employee Isabelle Drolet is pictured with Humane Heroes level donors Jason, Dawn, and Mackenzie MacAuley; Dawson MacAuley was unable to attend the presentation. The MacAuleys have been animal lovers and pet owners forever. They all think supporting the Building Campaign is the right thing to do, since the current facility is not suitable for the animals, the staff, or the many volunteers at the SPCA. The new facility will be good for the animals and the people who care for them.

Investors Group Financial Services in Prince Albert recently donated $26,000 to the SPCA's New Leash on Life Building Campaign. SPCA Manager Debbie Lehner, second from left, is pictured receiving the Humane Heroes level contribution from Rupert Bremner, Randy Scriven, Karen Lendvoy, Jason MacAuley, and Brent Habetler. Missing from the photo is Dan Troupe. Investors Group staff donated because it's a very worthy cause. They also pointed out that if anyone still has doubts about whether a new animal shelter is needed, they should just look around in the existing facility.

Dmyterko Enterprises recently contributed $10,000 to the SPCA's New Leash on Life Building Campaign. Humane Heroes donors Perry and Edna Dmyterko are pictured with SPCA employee Amy Wilkinson. This donation is an in-kind contribution to the construction phase of the new shelter. The Dmyterkos donated because they have previously adopted animals from the SPCA, they believe in this very good cause, and a tour of the current building quickly shows that it is no longer suitable for either the animals or the staff who are there to care for them.
